PINK HOUSE

The design concept involved creating a sculptural pink textured rear extension that would be unexpected and playful but also add welcomed warmth against the typical grey Irish sky and within the suburban context where the house is situated. The extension, provides a series of defined light-filled spaces and a seamless connection to the outdoors. The external treatment, a textured pink render, is an unexpected statement in its suburban context, distinct against the muted pebbledash of the original dwelling.
